Future Kids!!!!!!!

Future Kids is a website and program that can provide learning for basic computer literacy skills and knowledge. The focus of the website is to educate individuals on the basic systems provided by most computers. Internet, word processing, graphics, spread sheets, desktop publishing, databases, and multimedia are the main focus of the program. K-8 and High School level programs are offered by Future Kids. The website clearly states, “the course is not designed to make participants' experts on a specific software application, but to familiarize them with the basic concepts of operating systems.”I feel that this website has many positives. The biggest positive is that one can navigate through the website and to other links very easily. The load time was very quick and the information was clear and upfront. I believe that these are two very important characteristics for any website. I feel that when an individual is not very computer literate they can be easily intimidated and frustrated by a website or web page that does not load quickly or one that is difficult to sift through for information. Future Kids was extremely inviting and very easy to go through. As “user friendly” as the website is, my only disappointment was the lack of eye catching material. I felt the website lacked in graphics and design. In my opinion, this website holds great value for educators. The information and the programs provided are useful, practical, and attainable for any educator in any district. The program and website can serve as a learning tool and/or a refresher tool for all teachers. I would recommend this website to any educator that is in need of basic, but helpful, knowledge of standard technology in the classroom and campus.

I'm SO SUPER SORRY!!! :(

First off I'd like to apologize for taking off so much time between my 'blogs (weblog). I have been super busy, and between choosing new drapes for the living room, cleaning out the 'fridge, staring into Josh Hamilton's eyes as he tears it up for the Rangers, and getting super pumped for the new season of 'So You Think you can Dance?', I've also been working on getting my Master's degree. Some days I feel like Rodney Dangerfield in 'Back to School' (minus the Triple Lindy!!) Anyways, this means I'll probably be the boss of many of thoses who read this blog someday, so step lightly, I will be making a list!!!! As I become an advanced educator, I've also decided to add a new feature to my blog: FEBE: For Educators by Educators!!!! Be sure to look for that. Until next time, I look forward to having my Masters and offically being better than you!!!! :)
